I wish the title included the Trojan Horse reference.

I have to respond to LDS church claim that CO Springs killer, Aldrich “did not exhibit signs of believing or associating with members of the church”

I believe it highly possible Aldrich did believe in Dallin Oaks 2014 and Jeff Holland’s
2021 musket fire rhetoric against LGBTQ community.
Oaks and Holland are complicit contributers to Aldrich’s actions. as are other clerics, televangelists and politicians who’ve encouraged violence in their speaches

I think everyone is missing a key point about the Senate bill, namely, that it outlaws polygamy as a matter of federal law. The Church is looking down the road to the day that alternate marital arrangements, such as polygamy, become more socially acceptable to future generations. This saves the Church from having to fight a legal battle with polygamous mormon sects who claim that polygamy deserves the same constitutional protection as gay marriage. This may be the first time that the Church has shown foresight about anything. To me it is a coup for the Church to get this prohibition included with little effort or publicity.
