Smith lying about his polygamy (and polyandry) and having others lie as well. Consider this legal notion “falsus in uno falsus in omnibus. Latin for false in one thing false in everything. This is a court instruction often given jurors to help them decide the credibility of a material witness.

Near the end of the conversation, the team talks about the word “issue” used by William Law and there is a lack of understanding of what “issue” means with possible interpretations of it meaning “problems” or some kind of recourse. But I’m positive it means “children” or “desendents” in the legal sense (a bit antiquated but consistent with a historic legal meaning of talking about a person’s issue (meaning a persons offspring or descendants)). I think this gives great meaning to William’s statement and how Joesph S surprisingly had no “issue” from his plural marriages and sexual relationships.
