  1. I remember that talk in which Elder Uchtdorf said that there were reasons people leave the church and “doubt your doubts* which is really the only thing believing Mormons remember. Earlier in that talk, he implored those who had left the church to come back. “There is room for you here.” That talk was given in a priesthood session and as he uttered those words, “there is room for you here,” there were 200+ women standing outside the door to the room in which he was speaking, asking to be admitted to that meeting. “There is room for you here.” Unless you commit the unpardonable sin of being born female.
    I know there are so many others for whom there is also truly no room, but for him to speak those words when we were standing right outside the door where he was speaking and finding that there was indeed no room for us there was ironic indeed.
