  1. Every leader (and member) tells of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon
Yet for well over a century those of African ancestry were racially discriminated against

    2 Nephi 26:33

33 For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.

When Spencer W. Kimball made the announcement of “every worthy male” etc. he was only announcing a change in policy

  2. Listened to all 3 episodes.

Really appreciate the Benzis perspectives and the clarity of their feelings and opinions. Thank you both for driving all the way from Georgia. Thank you for sharing your journeys.

Compliments to Cara for very pertinent questions she asked in the 3rd episode.
And of course always enjoy John’s interviews!

  3. I’m a fan of the long form.
Gerald’s observations of being an international man of color in the U.S. was indeed interesting.
In that I’ve been out for 20 years, I’m seeing a definite trend of more members leaving because of social issues and shortcomings, rather than the tradition issues with Church history and truth claims.

Thanks to all for the show.
