This why Mormon Church lowered missionary age.
My best friend went on his mission after 2 years at BYU (+/- 1980).
I worked at a Boy Scout Camp in New Mexico summers age 17-20. I am so attached to the “Ranch” that it never leaves me.
This is the reason military recruits 18 year olds. The Church lowered missionary age because of the missionaires not the, Misson work.

In a world maintained by techknowledge. Members will only go so much with an 19th century novel.
A happier comparison watch “Galaxy Quest, 1999”. Aliens watch a Star Wars like sitcom, think it’s real, build a spaceship, and come to earth to gather the TV crew to “Man the Ship”

This kid is hilarious (charming and bright ). Such fun listening to John engage him in discussion so skillfully. Here’s hoping our young fellow discovers that a college education offers even more than mathematical virtuosity. 😉

John and Margee, you are so very insightful. James prefers certainty…as with mathematical building blocks. Nicely done guys.

Fun podcast. This kid is interesting, witty, and wickedly smart. Also terribly arrogant. He thinks he is a top 1% programmer at 18? Better than experienced programmers? Typical millennial pride. But he has some good points about church and religion.

James is about 10 years into Gen Z. Millennials are well into their parenting/career years. Time flies, doesn’t it?

How are we defining “technology”? Language is a type of technology (spoken and written). Religion is a type of technology. So many non-sciences and soft sciences involved in the development of human technology. Just because it doesnt involve microchips, maths, or data doesnt mean it isnt technology.
