Amy Lloyd is back for part two as we explore the challenges of navigating life after leaving the Mormon Church and going through a divorce. Amy highlights the importance of informed consent and the pressure children can face within the church as she navigates co-parenting with a believing spouse and how to handle things such as baptism for their children. Amy’s parenting approach focuses on open conversations, allowing her children to make informed decisions about their beliefs. She shares her journey of helping her kids understand complex topics like polygamy and internal versus external truth.

Amy encourages parents to find common ground with their ex-spouses, avoid overcorrecting, and apologize when necessary. She emphasizes the importance of processing grief and highlights that there is a happy, healthy life after leaving the Mormon Church and going through divorce.

I thoroughly enjoyed Amy’s “Letter to My Child”
I think this will be very helpful to parents or even adults with spouses who aren’t ready for a deep dive.

Hi Tim, were you able to find it? I have been out of town a few days but I thought I had it in there before I left. Do you see it now?
